Magazine Work 1964-1982 - Takuma Nakahira
Interviewed Kazuo Kitai the other day, and talking to him really brought home what everyone says about how magazines were so important to photographers shooting in the 70s. You could live for a month off of an 8-page spread published in a camera magazine. That kind of thing doesn’t exist now. I find it hard to really lionize this period, though, it’s so male.
